I was just wandering if anyone thought that the Jimboomba Shopping centre needed an improvement on anything. Feel free to start a new topic on the subject^^ Wink

I would like to see it rebuilt to bring everything together, as at the moment it is very disjointed and all over the place.

To do your bankiing up the top end with Bank of Queensland, you have a bit of a walk to get to the other end, and most will park up the top, do the banking, and then drive down to woolies, but if it was all under the one roof, then you could walk in air conditioned comfort from one end to the other, like you do in shopping centres like Logan Hyperdome.

However, I don't see such a huge redevelopment happening for quite a few years down there. Sad

Pushing a full trolley up hill in that carpark while heavily pregnant, is not my idea of fun that's for sure!

Another reason why people still travel outside the area to other shopping centres to do their regular shopping, whether they are pregnant or not.

Sadly the council's general lack of action in letting Jimboomba develop (in favour of Beaudesert), has prevented Jimboomba from growing as it should.

I actually like the disjointed approach, true pushing trolleys up hill is a bit much i agree. Though what I like about the place is the lack of concrete construction, the lack of bright lights the small country look that it has to offer.  I generally just park myself in the middle and then enjoy the walk..   Smiley

Some shaded parking wouldn't hurt either!

That's the least they could do.

Pretty much every other shopping centre has shades in the car parks these days, and those that don't have a disadvantage to those that do.

Sure there's the undercover section up the top, but there isn't all that many spaces there, as well as a long way to push a fully laden shopping trolley up the hill. Smiley

I had a premature baby a few years ago and going shopping during summer (even first thing in the morning!) and having to put such a tiny baby in a hot car was a nightmare!
